The S.T.E.M. for Girls Fund is devoted to providing grants to promote science, technology, engineering, and math activities and opportunities for girls in North Central West Virginia, encouraging girls to pursue S.T.E.M. fields. Learn more here.
The application for the 2026-27 funding cycle will open on July 28, 2026. Applications are due by September 21.
Who is eligible to apply?
- All traditional public schools in Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor Counties with preference given to Title I schools
- Nonprofit organizations including public libraries
Guidelines:
- Projects/programs must be open to girls only, targeting girls in grades K-12
- Awards will be made for up to $4,000
- The funds are expected to be used in the school year in which they are awarded.
Example Activities:
- Fund teacher-initiated enrichment programs or after-school clubs in STEM
- Provide financial assistance to attend a STEM-related activity
- Support students in attending STEM-related competitions
