The S.T.E.M. for Girls Fund is devoted to providing grants to promote science, technology, engineering, and math activities and opportunities for girls in North Central West Virginia, encouraging girls to pursue S.T.E.M. fields.
The application period for the current funding cycle (2024-25) has closed. Congratulations to the recipients! Please check back in late summer 2025 for information on the availability of funding for the 2025-26 funding cycle.
Who is eligible to apply?
- All traditional public schools in Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor Counties with preference given to Title I schools
- Nonprofit organizations including public libraries
Guidelines:
- Projects/programs must be open to girls only, targeting girls in grades K-12
- Awards will be made for up to $4,000
- The funds are expected to be used in the school year in which they are awarded.
Example Activities:
- Fund teacher-initiated enrichment programs or after-school clubs in STEM
- Provide financial assistance to attend a STEM-related activity
- Support students in attending STEM-related competitions
