YCF Announces 2021 Board of Directors

Morgantown, WV – Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc. (YCF) is pleased to announce two new members of the Board of Directors:  Perri Jo DeChristopher (Monongalia County) and Allen Staggers (Marion County).

DeChristopher is the Prosecuting Attorney for Monongalia County. She earned a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University (WVU) and subsequently graduated from WVU College of Law in 1994. DeChristopher began her prosecutorial career in Harrison County, where she worked until accepting a position as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Monongalia County in 1998.  She became Chief Assistant in 2000, and was elected as the Prosecuting Attorney of Monongalia County in 2016. DeChristopher resides in Morgantown with her husband Chuck and two children, Sydney and Chase.

Staggers retired as the State Director of External Affairs with Mon Power.  His 36-year career with the company also included assignments in forestry, economic development, and corporate communications. Following his retirement, he served as an AmeriCorps volunteer.  Staggers earned a bachelor’s degree in Forest Resources Management at WVU in 1976. He resides in Fairmont with his wife Patricia, and has two adult children, Ashley and Kelsey.

Returning board members include Chair Martin Howe (Harrison County), Vice Chair Josh Rogers (Monongalia County), Treasurer Nathan White (Monongalia County), Secretary Robert Greer (Harrison County), Immediate Past Chair James Griffin (Harrison County), Neshia Bridges (Marion County), Jenny Weaver (Taylor County) and Emeritus Member Billy Coffindaffer (Monongalia County).

“It’s an honor to be the 2021 YCF Board Chair, as we welcome our new board members who know and care about the communities we serve,” said Howe. “YCF continues to enable local people to provide for charitable giving throughout the five counties we serve and to support the issues they most care about. There are so many financial resources available for the overall good of the region, and YCF’s professional staff does a tremendous job managing and deploying funds to meet donor expectations and community needs.”

YCF’s mission is to promote philanthropy and build endowment funds to benefit our communities. YCF helps individuals, families, businesses and non-profit organizations achieve their charitable and financial goals by providing tools and resources to make giving easy, flexible and effective.  YCF extends many forms of assistance to qualified people, programs and projects.  Primarily serving North Central West Virginia, YCF’s underlying goal is always to enhance the quality of life within our community.
