YCF and ACGM Announce 2021 Organizational Arts Grant Recipients

Morgantown, WV – Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc. (YCF) and the Arts Council of Greater Morgantown (ACGM) are pleased to announce the 2021 Organizational Arts Grant recipients.  Awards total $168,851 for local arts and cultural organizations in Monongalia County.  Funding was provided by the City of Morgantown, the Monongalia County Commission and the YCF Douglas H. Tanner Memorial Fund for the Arts.

The following organizations received awards:  Friends of the Morgantown History Museum, Generation Morgantown/Generation West Virginia, Inc., M.T. Pockets, Inc., Main Street Morgantown, Milan Puskar Health Right, Morgantown Art Association, Morgantown Art Party, Morgantown Theatre Company, Mylan Park Foundation, Northern West Virginia Dance Council (Morgantown Dance), PopShopWV, Inc., ROFAYKI, Inc (Spark! Imagination and Science Center), West Virginia Botanic Garden, and West Virginia Public Theatre.

“Grants to local nonprofits help make our community rich in arts and cultural opportunities,” said Lisa Giuliani, Grant Committee Chair.  “The funds help create jobs and volunteer positions while providing experiences for children and adults.  We want residents to benefit and visitors to be impressed!”

The mission of the Organizational Arts Grant program is to broaden base support for the arts, promote excellence in the arts and ensure that our community has a variety of arts programs. The grant structure and criteria were developed by a committee of volunteers, with representation from individual artists and arts organizations.

Since 2018, the Organizational Arts Grant program has awarded $788,851 in grant funding to local nonprofits working to promote the arts in Monongalia County.

The 2022 Grant Application will be available in January, online at www.ycfwv.org.
