Morgantown, WV – Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc. (YCF) and the Arts Council of Greater Morgantown (ACGM) announce the Organizational Arts Grant program is accepting applications for the 2026-27 funding cycle. The submission deadline is June 15, 2026.
This collaborative effort includes funding support from the Monongalia County Commission and the City of Morgantown, as well as private donors. Additionally, the Douglas H. Tanner Memorial Fund for the Arts at YCF contributes annually to this grant program. Since the collaboration began in 2018, awards totaling over $1.3 million have been made to support the arts in Monongalia County.
The Organizational Arts Grant program provides funding for nonprofit organizations with arts-related missions and/or projects in Monongalia County. In 2025, a collective total of $137,000 was awarded to recipients. Examples of projects that were funded in 2025 include theatre programming for children and adults, art markets, murals, musical performances, and community art classes.
“We’re incredibly grateful for our city and county partners, the individual donors, and the many local nonprofits that make our arts scene so vibrant,” said Lisa Giuliani, Grant Program Chair. “We take great pride in the ability to provide arts and cultural opportunities for our community.”
The mission of the Organizational Arts Grant Program is to broaden base support for the arts, promote excellence in the arts, and ensure that cultural and arts organizations provide a variety of programs for our community. The grant structure and criteria were developed by a committee of community volunteers, with representation from individual artists and arts organizations.
