Morgantown, WV – Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc. (YCF) has received a $25,000 donation from the Equitrans Midstream Foundation to support nonprofits in North Central West Virginia — forever.
The Equitrans Midstream Foundation IMPACT Fund is an endowment managed by YCF. The annual earnings from the newly established fund will be distributed by YCF for charitable needs in Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston and Taylor Counties. The fund is unrestricted, meaning YCF has flexibility when awarding distributions to provide for community needs as they evolve over time.
“The Equitrans Midstream Foundation is proud to support YCF in its goal to develop, promote, and coordinate charitable giving for the benefit of local communities, helping to strengthen the North Central West Virginia region,” said Anne Naqi, Equitrans Midstream Foundation President. “With an aligned mission, together we are working in partnership to develop livable communities that bring new opportunities to the local area, making a difference today, tomorrow, and for the future.”
Working to improve the lives of individuals in their local communities, the Equitrans Midstream Foundation is committed to meaningful engagement and philanthropic partnerships. Through the Foundation’s generous matching gifts program, they encourage Equitrans employees to consider donating to the YCF’s IMPACT Fund, as well as other charitable organizations of their employees’
choosing.
As part of YCF’s $1 Million Match Campaign, the $25,000 donation is being matched 100% by an anonymous donor to the YCF IMPACT Fund, an unrestricted grantmaking fund benefiting YCF’s five-county region in North Central West Virginia.
“On behalf of YCF’s Board of Directors, we extend our gratitude to the Equitrans Midstream Foundation for their generous support,” said Patty Showers Ryan, YCF President. “The distributions from the fund will directly benefit the organizations YCF serves and countless residents in North Central West Virginia.” The $1 Million Match Campaign was launched in the fall of 2021. The campaign will run until December 31, 2022, or until the $1 Million goal is met, and aims to help communities in the five-county area.
