January 25, 2021

Morgantown, WV – Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc. (YCF) announces the establishment of the Taylor County Children and Families Endowment Fund to support the organizational needs of the Taylor County Family Resources.

The income generated by the endowment will provide long-term sustainability for the Taylor County Family Resources’ operations.

Joseph Solberg, Taylor County Family Resources Board President said, “Taylor County Family Resources’ Board of Directors established this fund by setting aside $5,000, the interest of which will be used to fund our programs in the future. It is our goal to grow the principal of this fund to $10,000 by the end of 2021. We are asking the community to help get us there by matching our contribution with your donations of $5, $10, $20 or more. We can grow this fund to $10,000 and beyond!”

Cathy Coontz, Executive Director of Taylor County Family Resources added, “The programs this fund will support include hunger relief, child abuse prevention, substance abuse prevention and recovery efforts, and so many more wonderful programs targeted at strengthening individuals, families, and communities in our area.”
