MORGANTOWN, WV – Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc., recently announced a $1 million charitable matching gift that will double the amount of all new donations – up to $1 million – to two funds benefitting the North Central West Virginia region. Just one month into the campaign, 30% of the goal has been raised.
The Double YOUR Impact Challenge was sparked by the generous gift of an anonymous donor who believes in the mission of YCF and the power all people have to create positive change in their communities through charitable giving.
A $250,000 gift made by another anonymous donor, along with an additional $50,000 in pledges and donations, has kickstarted the campaign and brings YCF 30% of the way to the $1 million goal.
“On behalf of YCF, I would like to thank the anonymous donor and those who have donated and pledged gifts toward the Double YOUR Impact campaign,” said YCF president, Patty Showers Ryan, “With every charitable gift we receive, YCF is closer to reaching the campaign’s $1 million goal and making a real impact in North Central West Virginia communities.”
YCF encourages community members to “Double YOUR Impact” with a donation to the YCF IMPACT Fund or the YCF Addiction Prevention Fund. All contributions to those funds will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the end of the campaign in December 2022, or until the fundraising goals are met.
